The Essaouira desert tour 5 days begin at 9 am with a meeting with our driver at your hotel reception. We will then head to Marrakesh, the famous red city. On the way, we will stop at a Chichawa Argan Oil co-op, famous for its production of argan oil used for cosmetics and food. In the early afternoon, we will arrive in Marrakesh and settle into a Riad near the famous Djamae el Fna square for dinner.
After breakfast, we will leave Marrakesh and visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou. We will pass through Tizi Ntichka, with an elevation of 2260m, and have lunch at a traditional restaurant in Ait Benhaddou. We will then continue to Ouarzazate, visit Kasbah Taourirte, and tour the Atlas & CLA Studios, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” We will then drive to the Dades Valley, known for its rose harvest, and stay in a hotel in the valley for dinner.
We will have an early breakfast and start the journey to the Sahara Desert. We will drive along the road of 1000 Kasbahs, visiting Berber villages and Todgha Gorges, a series of limestone river canyons. We will also stop at a Berber village in Tinejdad and visit the old Irrigation Canal in Jorf. In Erfoud, we will visit the workers of fossils and the Date Market. We will then embark on a camel ride into the Sahara Desert, trek to a small Oasis, and spend the night camping in a Nomad Berber Tent. A campfire and dinner under the stars will be provided.
In the morning, we will have a sunrise breakfast, break camp, and ride the camels back to our starting point. We will visit Todgha Gorges and the Rose Valley cooperative of women, offering rose products and bio items. We will continue to Skoura, visit the 17th-century Kasbah Amridil, and arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon. Dinner and accommodations will be at a hotel in Ouarzazate.
In the morning, we will visit Kasbah Taourirte and the Atlas & CLA Studios. We will then depart for Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou and have lunch at a Berber village in Taddart. We will then return to Marrakesh, where we will be dropped off at your hotel and the tour essaouira desert tour 5 days will conclude.
